Sanemi Shinazugawa: Outstanding Skills and Abilities

Breath of wind. Sanemi Shinazugawa, along with his friend Masachika Kumeno, mastered Wind Breathing. However, it was Sanemi who achieved outstanding results. He became a Wind Pillar, but even that doesn’t fully reflect his power. Kokushibo, when fighting Shinazugawa, remembered the most outstanding Wind Pillar - the first one in the Sengoku era.

First kata: Sand wind blow. Sanemi rushes towards the enemy at incredible speed and inflicts horizontal blows with dense streams of air.

Second kata: Claws that purify the wind. Shinazugawa raises his nichirin blade over his head, and then quickly - almost simultaneously - delivers four cutting vertical blows. It is because of the similarity of the wounds from the clawed paw attack that the kata got its name.

Third kata: Trees swaying in the wind. Sanemi surrounds herself with a whirlwind of slashing blows. They destroy everything around Shinazugawa. The main role of the kata is protection from enemy attacks.

Fourth kata: Rising dust storm. Shinazugawa uses a horizontal grip on his nichirin blade to deliver many short strikes that create a cyclone. Thus, Sanemi repels the attack of the enemy.

Fifth kata: Blizzard. The Wind Pillar makes several arcing strokes of the katana. Attacks cover an ever larger diameter, approaching the target, and reach their maximum scope directly above it.

Sixth kata: Whirlwind of black smoke. Shinazugawa swings his blade vigorously like he’s throwing an uppercut. In this case, a vortex is formed, consisting of oblique impacts.

Seventh kata: An unexpected gust of wind. Sanemi jumps into the air and creates a hurricane. Reaching the enemy, the whirlwind breaks up into several blows, cutting it into several parts.

Eighth kata: Storm strike. Shinazugawa creates a circular flow of air while jumping. The whirlwind cuts the enemy with several attacks.

Ninth kata: Typhoon Idaten. Sanemi does somersaults. The moment he is upside down, he delivers a powerful vertical strike. Achieving a full flip of the body by inertia, Shinazugawa destroys everything under it with this attack.

Blade of Nichirin. Sanemi Shinazugawa is one of the four Pillars who use the standard nichirin blade. Its blade is green with a wavy line separating the cutting surface and the skeleton. The handle of the blade is wrapped with a beige cord. The scabbard is gray in color with a pattern imitating scars.

Demon Slayer’s Mark. Sanemi Shinazugawa received the mark of the fighters during the battle with Kokushibo. At the Wind Pillar, it is located on the right cheek and resembles a green-colored shuriken with two dots on the sides.

Rare blood. Sanemi has rare blood. Thus, he is a marechi. Shinazugawa surpasses even the best marechi in blood quality. That is why its smell can intoxicate demons. It is all the more surprising that Nezuko was able to hold her own during the trial of the Hashira. However, Sanemi’s blood had no such effect during the fight with Muzan.

Sees enemy aura. Shinazugawa is able to see the aura surrounding the opponent. With this, Sanemi can roughly gauge the level of an enemy’s combat ability, giving the Wind Hashira a slight advantage.

Sanemi Shinazugawa: The appearance and personality of the hero

Body type. Sanemi is a tall and strong young man. He put a lot of effort into training his physical strength, considering it the lion’s share of the abilities of a good demon hunter and a Hashira. Now he is proud of his muscles and strives to demonstrate it to others.

Appearance. Sanemi Shinazugawa has ash-colored hair of medium length. They are always in disarray and stick out in different directions. The front strands are longer and fall on the forehead. Sanemi has almond shaped eyes. At the same time, the iris is purple, but very dark, almost black. His entire body is covered with scars and scars.

Clothing. Sanemi Shinazugawa wears the standard green Demon Slayer uniform. He does not button up her buttons because he wants his muscles to be visible. Over the top, he throws on a white cape with the kanji for "assassin" written on it. On her feet, Sanemi wears tabi and zori socks in the same tone as her uniform. He wraps his shins with bandages, which he fastens with white straps.

Impulsive. Sanemi Shinazugawa draws conclusions and makes decisions without delay. For example, without going into the details of Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado’s situation, he volunteers to kill a demon. It is likely that Sanemi has been impulsive since childhood, as he left the family for good after a few insulting words from Genya.

Rude. Sanemi does not consider it necessary to reckon with the opinions of others. Coupled with impulsiveness, this leads to the fact that he is often rude to people. This is how he treated Kagae in their first meeting: he interrupted him disrespectfully and accused him of insensitivity and arrogance. With demons, he communicates even more rudely, since he does not have a drop of compassion for them in his soul. However, with close people, he is rude only for the reason that he is embarrassed by sincere manifestations of emotions.

Likes to fight. Sanemi Shinazugawa rushes into battle without a second thought. He knows the limits of his abilities and that they are beyond the strength of most of his opponents. If Sanemi realizes during the fight that his enemy is stronger than expected, Shinazugawa is not afraid of the prospect and fights with great enthusiasm.

Sanemi Shinazugawa: History, biography and death

Backstory of Sanemi Shinazugawa. Sanemi’s childhood passed in a complete family among seven brothers and sisters. The father systematically beat them. He had no comrades, so no one was surprised at his murder. Shinazugawa’s family fared better after his father’s death. Sanemi took on the role of the main protector, while Genya supported his brother and sought to help him. One day their mother disappeared. Sanemi went looking for her, at the same time, the woman who turned into a demon killed five of her children.

Sanemi had to kill her to save her brothers and sisters. Genya, seeing the corpse of his mother at the feet of his brother, attacked him with accusations. Sanemi disowned him and left home. He fought the demons on his own, trying to numb the pain from mental wounds. Sanemi noticed that the smell of his blood had an intoxicating effect on opponents. The boy invented his own way of killing demons.

He caught them and hung them on trees, waiting for the sun to rise. On one of those days, he met the fighter Masachika Kumeno. He introduced Sanemi to the Wind Pillar. Since then, the boys have practiced wind-breathing and the nichirin blade together. After a while, Sanemi and Masachika killed the first Lower Moon. However, Kumeno died after this battle, so Shinazugawa became the Pillar.

Arc of Functional Recovery Training. Sanemi as the Wind Pillar is present at Ubuyashiki Manor during the trial of Tanjiro and Nezuko Kamado. Shinazugawa is categorically opposed to the demon and does not believe that she is able to refrain from killing a person. He decides to prove himself right to the pillars and Kagae.

Therefore, he pulls the girl out of the box and brings his bleeding hand to her, knowing how appetizing his blood is for demons. However, Nezuko turns away, showing great willpower. After that, Sanemi has to come to terms with Kagaya’s decision to accept Tanjiro and Nezuko into the ranks of the Demon Slayers.

Pillar Training Arc. Sanemi Shinazugawa attends an emergency meeting of the Pillars at Ubuyashiki Manor. He was amazed to learn of the existence of the Demon Slayer Marks. Mitsuri Kanroji’s inability to explain how she got it annoyed Sanemi greatly. Later, he decided that the mark was very easy to unlock.

Therefore, he bullied Gia, who refused to participate in training with the Pillars. Sanemi Shinazugawa was responsible for improving the martial art of swordsmen. The Wind Pillar trained until the Demon Hunters fainted. Sanemi also tried to intimidate Tanjiro, but met with his stubbornness.

After enduring the fight training, Kamado asked Sanemi to talk to his brother, to which he refused. Tanjiro later witnesses their fight. Kamado stood up for Genya and started a fight with Sanemi. As a result, Kagae Ubuyashiki had to intervene and enforce a ban on Tanjiro’s presence at the Wind Hashira training.

After a while, Shinazugawa and Giyu had a fight with wooden swords. The battle threatened to turn into a real massacre if Tanjiro did not offer to eat ohagi together. Sanemi becomes embarrassed and, not knowing how to express her emotions, hits Kamado on the head and leaves. Along the way, Shinazugawa finds Nakime’s eye, with which the demon was looking for the location of the fighter headquarters.

Arch of the Fortress of Infinity. Sanemi was the first to hear the news of Muzan’s attack on Ubuyashiki Manor and hurried there. He was able to get after the explosion, and then he, along with all the Pillars, attacked Kibutsuji. However, Nakime’s blood magic transported him to one of the rooms of the Fortress of Infinity, where he had to fight many weak demons. Having dealt with them, Sanemi went to look for his comrades in the fortress.

He appeared before Kokushibo when he was about to kill Genya. They got into a fight. Sanemi noted the speed of the first Upper Moon and the fickleness of his fighting technique. Difficulties inspired the Wind Pillar, but he knew that the slightest mistake would lead to death. Kokushibo managed to severely injure Sanemi, but Shinazugawa took advantage of the demon’s confusion due to the intoxicating scent of rare blood. Kokushibo recognized the strength and exclusivity of the enemy.

But he didn’t give up. Gyomei Himejima joined the fight to give Sanemi a chance to catch her breath. It was only through the joint attack of the Pillars of Wind and Stone, Tokito Muichiro and Genya Shinazugawa that they managed to defeat Kokushibo. Sanemi lost consciousness after the fight, and came to his senses next to his younger brother. Seeing that he was falling into pieces like a demon, he wanted to save him, but could not. Shinazugawa painfully suffered the death of his brother, but had to continue to fight, since Muzan is still alive.

Countdown to Dawn Arch. Sanemi Shinazugawa joined the fighters fighting Muzan. He barely managed to avoid Kibutsuji’s attacks. Sanemi’s blade turned crimson and he realized that hitting with such a blade could slow down Muzan’s regeneration. Shinazugawa crossed swords with Giyu so that his blade would also turn crimson.

With the help of the medicine delivered by the familiar cat, the Slayers felt better. The ravens delivered seals to them, using which the hunters can see each other. This allowed the fighters to attack Muzan with renewed vigor. Kibutsuji managed to win. Sanemi lost consciousness and met with his dead parents. He was ready to go with his mother to hell, but his father pushed him away to bring him back to life.

The doctors gave him first aid, Sanemi came to his senses. Later, Sanemi, along with Giyu, arrived at the last meeting of the Hashira, where they learned about the disbandment of the Demon Slayer organization. Sanemi then met Nezuko by chance. The girl in a short conversation reminded him of his younger brother. Shinazugawa stroked Nezuko’s head with a smile and said goodbye.

Sanemi Shinazugawa: Hero Relationship

Sanemi Shinazugawa and Genya Shinazugawa. The brothers were very close as children. Both of them supported the Shinazugawa family. After Sanemi had to kill their demon mother, Genya blamed him instead of supporting him. The older brother left home and joined the Slayer organization, became the Wind Pillar.

The younger brother was drawn to him and also became a demon hunter. However, he faced hostility from Sanemi. In fact, the Wind Pillar loved his brother very much and suffered his death very painfully. Before his death, Genya managed to tell Sanemi about his feelings and make sure that they are mutual.

Sanemi Shinazugawa and Tanjiro Kamado. They first met during the trial of the Pillars. Sanemi was strongly opposed to the demon hunter traveling with a demon on his back. It pained Tanjiro to see his sister being bullied by the Wind Pillar, but he didn’t hate him.

Things calmed down when Sanemi accepted Kamado’s siblings as colleagues. Later, Tanjiro helped mend the relationship between Sanemi and Genya. He informed his peer that the Wind Pillar does not smell of hatred for his brother, he only surrounds himself with feigned aggression.

Sanemi Shinazugawa and Nezuko Kamado. Sanemi hated all demons and had no intention of making an exception for any of them. It was only thanks to Kagaya that he didn’t destroy Nezuko immediately, but decided to test her with his rare blood. The girl turned away from him with an effort of will. The strength of the spirit and the ability to control oneself struck Sanemi.

After that, he agreed to accept Nezuko into the ranks of the demon hunters. After defeating Muzan, she and Sanemi had a small conversation. In it, the girl reminded him of the deceased younger brother. Sanemi looked at Nezuko warmly and stroked her head, dedicating it to Genya.

Sanemi Shinazugawa and Kagaya Ubuyashiki. In their first meeting, when Sanemi was invited to take on the role of the Wind Hashira, he accused Kagaya of being arrogant and pompous. However, Shinazugawa was deceived in his expectations and met with calmness and gentleness in response, which subdued him. After this incident, Sanemi had immense respect for Oyakata-sama. When Kagaya was replaced by Kiriya - his son - Shinazugawa expressed the reverence he has for the entire Ubuyashiki family and their role in fighting the demons.

Sanemi Shinazugawa and Gyomei Himejima. They are considered the two most powerful Pillars. There has always been a good relationship between them, despite Sanemi’s harshness. Shinazugawa respected the Pillar of Stone. Himejima appreciated his fortitude and honesty. In battle, they understood each other very well. Without speaking, they attacked Kokushibo in unison and were able to defeat him.

Sanemi Shinazugawa and Giyu Tomioka. They were not close, despite the many years of cooperation. When Giyu refused to participate in training with the Hashira, Sanemi misinterpreted his behavior and lashed out at him with accusations. Once, they even got into a violent fight. However, later they were able to understand each other, and their relationship returned to neutral.

Sanemi Shinazugawa and Masachika Kumeno. They met because they hunted the same demon, but in different ways. Kumeno was amazed that Sanemi was able to defeat a demon without the use of a blade or breathing techniques. Masachika introduced a friend to a teacher, and they began to train together.

One day, they engaged in a fight with the first Lower Moon and defeated her. However, Kumeno died, and Sanemi was appointed the Wind Pillar. Shinazugawa regretted that it was not his friend. Kagaya gave Sanemi Masachika’s will, in which he said that he treated Shinazugawa like a younger brother.
